Virtually Explore the New 7 Wonders of the World

Recently, we’ve been forced to change the way we travel and explore. However, we are so lucky that we live in 2020 where there are virtual tours of all of the most beautiful places in the world. The best part about it is that you can be in 7 different countries all before lunch. Let the below links take you to new places while safely resting at home. Virtually explore Seven Wonders of the World with me by using the links below!

1. Machu Picchu (Peru)

Experience Peru’s number one travel destination with no altitude sickness here. The Incas built this masterpiece in 1450 and abandoned it about 100 years later. Centuries went by before anyone discovered this site and it was finally declared a UNESCO site in 1983 and one of the New Wonders of the World.

2. Great Wall of China (China)

This wall stretches over 13,000 miles within 9 different provinces in China. Start your tour here. Fun Fact – there is a myth that you can see the Great Wall of China from the moon … but this is false! That would be similar to seeing 1 human hair from 2 miles away.

3. Taj Mahal (India)

So many people dream of the Taj Mahal but few actually get to experience the beauty. Check out this immersive site here allowing you to see different views of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was finished in 1653 and cost around 32 million rupees at the time (now that would be $916 million USD). In 1983, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being the Jewel of Muslim art in India.

4. The Great Pyramids (Egypt)

Over 4,000 years ago, Egyptians built these masterpieces for their Kings and Queens to be buried. They believed that after death, a portion of your spirit stays with your body and needed to stay with the riches. Virtually explore the pyramids here.

5. Christ The Redeemer (Brazil)

This 98 ft tall statue is placed high on a mountain top in Rio de Janerio, Brazil. Virtually explore here. Bonus feature: this site also includes all other iconic places located within Brazil. Sugarloaf is my favorite. This might be one of my favorite places to virtually explore the world.

6. Colosseum (Italy)

Italy has so many wondrous sites – but the Colosseum takes the cake! This one hour virtual tour (here) takes you through the many sites of the Colosseum. My favorite is at 35:16 – just look at that view!!

7. Chichen Itza (Mexico)

The Maya name “Chichen Itza” means “At the mouth of the well of the Itza.” Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and it was likely to have been one of the mythical great cities. Explore here with beautiful panoramic views.

I hope that this helped you cure your wanderlust for the day. Let these virtual tours remind you of the beauty of the world that we will get to explore again one day soon.
