Perfect 4-Day Girls Trip to Las Vegas

I’m a firm believer that every girl should plan a girls trip to Las Vegas with friends in her twenties! A girls trip to Las Vegas is a right of passage in your twenties and it is a memory you will cherish forever! Whether it’s for a bachelorette party, birthday celebration, or just a fun girl’s weekend, Vegas has so much to offer. My friends and I try to go once a year in the summer because we love the pool parties!

Below I’m sharing my favorite tips and itinerary for a girls trip to Las Vegas.
PS – be sure to check out this list of Las Vegas Instagram captions to commemorate your girls trip!

Las Vegas Strip

Planning Your Trip to Vegas

WHEN TO VISIT: I recommend looking at dates from May-August on weekends only (Thursday-Sunday). Sometimes the airfare might be cheaper Thursday-Monday and is worth extending a day or two. I wouldn’t go to Vegas just during the week though – you’ll miss out on the best DJs and real party scene taking place. You have to splurge a little more to go on the weekends, but it’s so worth it.

WHERE TO STAY: When booking a place to stay, I recommend sticking to the Strip. Again, you’ll pay a little bit more but the convenience of skipping a taxi/uber ride is so worth it! My favorite hotels on the Strip are:

  • Planet Hollywood:
It’s conveniently located in the center of the strip near Bellagio, Cosmo, and Paris. They have recently renovated their rooms and they’re very stylish and posh. Planet Hollywood has great concerts (Hello, Britney Spears and J.Lo) and good drink specials. The downside to Planet Hollywood is that it lacks a great nightclub or dayclub.
  • MGM Grand:
While this is on the far end of the strip, it has two of my favorite clubs – Wet Republic Day Club and Hakaasan Night Club. If you have 6 people to a room (shhh), they have the perfect option with 2 Queen Beds and a pullout couch. Their non-dayclub pool is also super badass – we’re talking lazy river, waterfall, and amazing design. Downside is the location… you will find yourself in a handful of ubers throughout your trip.
  • The Venetian:
This is one of the most picturesque hotels I’ve ever been to. When you’re walking inside, you feel like you’re soaking up the sun in the canals of Venice. All rooms are suites so you can squeeze a lot of friends into one room. Downside is the location.. it’s at the exact opposite end as MGM Grand.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Check out the schedule of events for the weekend you’re going. Plan your nights out around any DJs you want to see… Calvin Harris, Tiesto, and Chainsmokers are almost always in Vegas in the summer and are so fun to see in a club! If there is a DJ or performer you REALLY want to see (or if you have boys in your group), I advise getting tickets in advance.

Las Vegas Pool Parties

Things to Know Before You Go:

  • Check out my tips for the top 10 Things You Need To Know Before Clubbing in Vegas.
  • Promoters are your Best Friends. Get their number while you’re walking around the strip so they can add you the guestlist of dayclubs and nightclubs. This is so crucial so you can avoid lines and cover charges.
  • Day Club Pool Parties… don’t expect to bring a beach bag with all your pool necessities. Pack light. There is security and they’re strict about what you can bring in. My go to is a cheap satchel (leave the designer at home for this one) with my credit card, cash, and ID. I throw in a small bottle of sunscreen and some sunglasses and call it a day. Throw on shoes (heels if you want to blend in with the party scene) and a cover-up and you’re set! Don’t stress about towels – they have those there. Less is definitely more here, you don’t want to be worried about your stuff the entire time.
  • Food courts are in almost every hotel and a great way to find cheap and quick food. They have a variety of options which is perfect for a group!
  • Pack a variety of shoes. The worst feeling in the world is having blisters and having to wear the exact same shoes the next day. With all the walking and clubbing around the city, you really need to take care of your feet!

Weekend Trip Itinerary

Thursday:

If you’re flying in from the East coast, chances are you’re landing pretty late in the day. Take this time to get acquainted to the Vegas heat, check in to your hotel, and pick up the necessities: case of water and alcohol to pre-game with! I always get these sent straight to my room via UberEats or Postmates. As you settle in, try your hand at the slots in your hotel and walk around to get your bearings.

For the first night out, start off at Hakkasan! This club is a perfect size that feels intimate while still having so much space!  You could party here alllll night long. It’s one of my favorite spots on the Strip and you’ll immediately see why. Plus, they usually have a great line up for Thursday nights!

Friday:

It’s time to tackle (half of) the Strip! Wake up and grab something greasy to curb the hangover and start walking the Strip. The must see hotels are Bellagio (outdoor Fountains and indoor seasonal garden), Paris (Eifel Tower), The Venetian (catch a gondola ride inside), and the iconic Caesar’s Palace.

Wanderlust With Lisa Tip: Ladies, as you walk around the streets of Vegas, look out for Club Promoters. They will become your best friends so don’t brush them off. Get their numbers and get your group on the guest list for the clubs you want to go to! This helps reduce the waits in lines significantly and gets you in for freeeeee.

Relax in the afternoon at your hotel pool – if you’re lucky, it will have a lazy river (MGM), or fun drinks! A girls trip to Las Vegas isn’t complete without a relaxing day at the pool!

Friday night, go to Omnia… the biggest club in the world! You’ll feel so lost in the multilevel club in the best way possible. Grab a souvenir drink (no, not for the takeaway, but for the LID that comes on it.. when you’re dancing it’s such a lifesaver. Plus, it’s larger than a regular drink which means less trips to the bar!)

I like to go on Fridays vs Saturdays because I can get overwhelmed on Saturdays. If you feel overwhelmed, you can step outside on their balcony for fresh (smoky air… I’m looking at you, smokers).

Saturday:

Wake up and get ready to party! It’s time for a Dayclub! My personal favorite is Wet Republic (especially when Tiesto is there). Head to MGM on the earlier side (11AM) to avoid long lines and to snag a spot to store your stuff. Prepare yourself for outrageous drink prices and the best day of your life. Make friends with a bachelor party to snag bottle service.

The dayclub will really be in full swing around 2PM so don’t leave before then! I usually stay til 4PM or when they’re kicking us out! The Saturday Pool Party is usually the highlight of our girls trip to Las Vegas – so don’t miss out!

Afterwards, head home for a nap. You’ll thank me later.

Next, it’s time to take on Saturday nights in Vegas – the best part of your Girls Trip to Las Vegas! You’ve already been to Hakkasan and Omnia (the two best clubs) so it’s time to check out others: Marquee in Cosmo, Tao in Venetian, or XS in Wynn Encore. You can’t go wrong with any of these so check the lineup and see who is playing. Since it’s Saturday night, get there early (11PM at the latest).

Cosmo in Vegas

Sunday:

Tired yet? You still have one day left to explore! Finish walking around the rest of the Strip that you haven’t seen. Take a taxi over to the “Welcome to Vegas” sign (heads up, there will be a line), and get a boozy brunch at Giada in the Cromwell. Your Girls Trip to Las Vegas is not complete without a boozy brunch, and Sunday is the perfect day for just that!

But, if you’re feeling like one more party, check out another dayclub (Daylight at Mandalay Bay or XS at the Wynn). If you’re wanting to relax before your flight, stay at your hotel pool and relax. Or, if you’re still feeling adventurous, check out Fremont Street! I try to plan my flight for mid afternoon so I still have the morning to do what I please (or recover from the night before).

There you have it – a perfect way to spend 4 days in Las Vegas. You’ll certainly be exhausted afterwards, but you’ll leave with no regrets since you’re experiencing the highlights! If you’re like me, chances are your friends will be eager to plan the next Girls Trip to Las Vegas!

  1. Hi Lisa, your blog on girls trip to Vegas looks great. Just one problem we are not in our 20’s! We are 40’s and turning the big 50! Don’t get me wrong we would pass for early/mid 30’s (with makeup) but don’t want to look/feel silly.
What would you suggest for a group of 6-8 ladies who want to see the best of Vegas without feeling like the oldest people in the room
